Bath Psychology Coaching
Philippa focuses her knowledge of applied psychology and her experience of working with individuals for over 20 years to her coaching practice. Her approach involves harnessing the most up to date and evidence-based psychological theories which underpin effectiveness, wellbeing and performance.
She is a member of the International Society for Coaching Psychology and the British Psychological Society’s Coaching section and being both a Coaching and Counselling Psychologist means she has the skills to maintain a person-centric and yet goal and solution focused approach to all her 1:1 development work. She has engaged successfully with individuals from across all sectors and helped those facing a variety of challenges and with varying objectives.
How it works
Philippa believes that a coaching relationship should be based on a profound connection of trust, authenticity and psychological safety. Thus, she places significant emphasis on ensuring an appropriate chemistry exists between herself and any potential coachee. This is established on an up-front no cost basis before any assignment formally begins.
Typical coaching assignments are time bound and last a pre-agreed number of sessions, work being carried out over a finite time period, with clear milestones and objectives being paramount.
The following is a typical list of assignments:
Performance Coaching – Helping employees at all levels better understand the requirements of their jobs, the competencies needed to fulfil those requirements, any gaps in their current performance, and opportunities to improve.
Coaching for Executives – Supporting Executives and enabling them to develop new skills, improve performance, overcome de-railers, navigate key people and relationship challenges, and prepare for advancement.
New Leader Coaching – Clarifying with the leader the key constituents of their new role, the deliverables in the first few months, then helping new leaders assimilate and achieve their business objectives.
Wellbeing Coaching – Whoever we are and whatever our role or responsibilities we are all vulnerable to being buffeted by the demands and pressures of life. Wellbeing coaching helps individuals develop a greater personal toolkit of resilience so they are better able to manage stress, cope effectively and develop an optimistic outlook. This in turn enables individuals to move forward with greater positive momentum.
